With changing time there is a huge shift in dining and eating out experience. With eating out in Indian is becoming a part of daily lifestyle instead of a celebratory dine-out. Likewise, people are shifting from indulgent food to healthy and guilt free food. AnnaMaya, at the newly-opened Andaz, is first European Food hall restaurant.
Like many European food halls, AnnaMaya is a place where food is served and interesting artisanal produce and items are available for sale.Inspired by the colours and flavours of India, aimed at inspiring guests to “Eat Mindful. Shop Artisanal. Raise Awareness”. The European food is inspired from the ‘Made in India’ concept, with all products to be made and produced in India, with a socially inspiring story behind the business execution, and their current business module must be socially relevant in order to help communities and their respective environments within India.
Speaking of FoodHall, it will be the first concept in India where you can buy what you eat and like. You can find pure rock salt from Uttarakhand, organic honey, chutneys and pickles from the Devbhumi, bean-to-bar organic chocolates from Mysore, organic coffee by Blue Tokai, organic full-leaf teas, cold-pressed oils and more. All brands on sale have a socially inspiring story behind the business and help local communities and respective environments within India.
The menu at AnnaMaya is designed around consciously-sourced ingredients from local artisans or sourced from farms in city. They have in-house plantation as well. The food items you find in many will be according to season and availability of the products. All the ingredients used will be fresh and sourced from different parts India from farmers with a story.
When at AnnaMaya, whatever you will find in Menu will be healthy version and freshly made in open Kitchens. But we highly recommend Mango Kesar Lassi. Naturally sweetened with an enriching flavour of Kesar complemented well with mango. In salads, there are a plethora of varieties to choose from, starting with aloe vera salad to Kale salad and Millet salad. The freshness and crunchiness can be felt at each bite. The paneer for Paneer Tikka was made with goat milk and marinated with freshly grounded spices. The aroma makes all the difference here.
Do try their Ozo Pasta, somewhere between a pasta texture to risotto looking dish. The pasta looked like a double size risotto rice in butter and white sauce with asparagus. In mains, we tried lotus curry which was an average and had this sweet curry. Whereas, Zakia Aloo was simply amazing. The crunchiness of mustard seeds just enhanced the texture and flavour of the dish.
Moving on to the favourite section, the dessert section where you indulge in all fresh home-made cupcakes to pastries to ice cream. There is quite a variety of dessert that you can indulge in and can get it pack also. My favourite from the range is Chocolate chilli ice cream with hazelnut and gummy bears. Well, the after chilli taste after a sinful Belgium chocolate is a lethal combination.
Each item offered at AnnaMaya is carefully picked and treated with utmost care. Each dish you taste has a special ingredients with a story, a story of farmer or artisian that makes the meal more special.
